Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: January 15 – March 5. This level builds on basic phrases and vocabulary with an emphasis on pronunciation and fundamental grammar. Students will learn to discuss their daily activities and past actions. Topics: travel, vacation, tourism, describing people, hobbies Objectives: expressions with "avoir," the present tense of -ir and -re verbs, the imperative, the simple past tense using "avoir" and "être" irregular verbs in the present and past, the past tense with the expression "il y a" Textbook: Contacts (8th Edition), Unit 5, Lessons 13-15
